Double Chocolate Donut
Ingredients
- 250g donut mix
- 225ml water
- 50g melted butter
- Tablespoon cocoa
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Ingredients for filling
- Chocolate Crème Patisserie (thick chocolate custard)
- Melted milk chocolate
- Crushed pistachios
Method
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees
- Spray donut hole pan with canola oil
- In a bowl stir together with a spatula/wooden spoon the donut mix, cocoa, cinnamon and the water until well combined
- Add in the melted butter and stir until well combined
- Pour into prepared pan
- Bake for 10 - 12 minutes at 200 degrees. Donuts are cooked when they are springy to touch.
- When cooked, turn out of pan on to cake rack to cool
- Once cool, cut donuts in half and pipe chocolate custard onto cut sections and place back together
- Melt chocolate and drizzle over the top and finish with crushed pistachios
